Festival Volunteers

Looking for a fun way to spend a couple of days this summer? Why not join us by volunteering at KidSpark! When you volunteer, you are contributing not only to your community but you are helping bring a smile to the faces of thousands of children!

It's easy to volunteer. Download the attached Volunteer Application form or contact 743-0271 ext. 275 for more information. Applications are also available at all Kitchener Public Library locations, Community Services at Kitchener City Hall or any City of Kitchener Community Centre.

Here are some of the great opportunities.

Get Active Team

KidSpark features many hands-on activities like rock climbing, stilts, mini golf and more. These high-energy centres are not to be missed. Children love them and so will you!

KidSpark Ambassadors

KidSpark Ambassadors are crucial to the success of the Festival. These volunteers will assist attendees with information, directions, maps and programs.

Discovery Centre Team

The Discovery Centre features interactive art projects and sensory development activities for children. Be prepared to be delighted as you watch kids create masterpieces and learn new skills. Crafts are pre-planned and materials prepared. If you enjoy working with kids, this is the area for you.

Characters

Ever wondered what it was like to work as a theme park character? You will play a key role in creating a fun atmosphere at KidSpark. Wearing professionally designed mascot/character costumes, you will make appearances at select locations, interacting with children and posing for pictures.

Character Handler

Ever wondered who was responsible for ensuring the safety of theme park characters? You will escort, guide and ensure the safety of costumed characters.

Helping Hands

KidSpark couldn’t happen without volunteers. Adult and youth volunteers are always welcome. If you would like to lend a hand please call the Kitchener Public Library at 519-743-0271 ext. 275 or download our volunteer brochure for more details.
